December Roadmap — Content, Testing & Final Prep
With the technical groundwork now stable and November’s major systems all in place, December marks the shift into content creation, world polish, and preparation for public testing. This is where the world starts feeling alive, not just functional.
Our goal remains to open AGOC to players before Christmas 2025. December is focused on the final steps needed to make that realistic: early-game content, world clarity, one proper dungeon, and the first round of testers.
🎯 1. Starter Questline (Early Game)
- First story arc (3–6 steps)
- Introduces world, systems and early NPCs
- Teaches class basics and mechanics naturally
- Sends players toward their first dungeon zone
🛡 2. Class Unlock Quests
Each of the five classes will get a small “identity” quest that marks their beginning:
- Warrior
- Rogue
- Archer
- Mage
- Paladin
Nothing huge — just enough to make the class feel chosen, not menu-selected.
🏰 3. Final Hub World Design
- Layout, wayfinding and visual flow
- Portal room positions and theme
- Quest NPC arrangements
- New-player guidance and clarity
- Optional winter/holiday theme
🕳️ 4. First Dungeon (Level 1–10)
- Three-room dungeon layout
- Scripted mobs and encounters
- One miniboss
- One proper boss with telegraphs
- Reward chest with starter MMOItems gear
🐺 5. Mob Ecosystem Pass
- 10–15 early mob types finalised
- Biome-restricted creatures polished
- 3 rare-spawn mobs added
- 1 roaming elite encounter
- Spawn weights cleaned up
🏙 6. Towny Onboarding & Camps
- Interactive NPC explaining Towny systems
- Plot/rent basics made clear
- New-player camps fully integrated
🛒 7. Marketplace Prep (Shops)
- Eight hub shop plots polished
- Rent logic balanced
- Starter economy loop tested
- Basic merchant tutorials added
🧪 8. Testing Phase Preparation
- “How to Test” quickstart page
- Feedback submission tools
- Internal analytics/logging improvements
- Invite first 5–10 testers privately
- Run two small stress-test sessions
🔧 9. Server Operations & Stability
- Final plugin updates before opening
- Performance profiling
- Logging cleanup
- Backup checks
- Spawn world borders & protections verified
🌲 10. World Polish & Atmosphere
- Lighting passes
- Landscaping around key routes
- Environmental storytelling (notes, books, NPC chatter)
- 2–3 wilderness points of interest added
- Small holiday touches around the hub
December is where we stop building systems and start building a world. One month of content, polish and testing stands between us and opening.
Early-game quests planned, dungeon layout drafted, mob tables refined, hub design underway, testing tools prepared. December is the final sprint.
